King SeikoFirst Generation Circa 1962’s (Special Dial)

The first-gen J14102 is a development of the original King Seik0 by Daini, inspired by the evolution of Grand Seik0. The King Seiko J14102 from 1962 is the first generation KS, produced from mid-1961 to mid-1964 with a thick gold-capped model. Like most Seik0 from this era, a star logo was used to mark different dial qualities. The one I'm showing here has an eight-pointed star with a hollow four-point star inside, indicating a special dial (SD) made from solid yellow or white gold. Finding a special dial model is always a big win since the markers tend to stay bright, unlike Applied Dial (AD) markers that sometimes corrode over time.
